The nation awakening!
As India is celebrating its 75th independence day today, its quite a historic moment for all of us.
The journey from 1947 till 2021 is really remarkable for a nation that was ruled by foreign powers for more than 200 years. Today, we are the largest democracy, have second largest army, 6th largest economy by nominal GDP. Apart from this, in recent years we are progressing and implemented much needed reforms like IBC, Uniform Tax Rates across country (GST), UPI, Jan-Dhan scheme ,the infrastructure push and many more. Draconian and deprecated laws are being scrapped, our borders are more secured. There are many such achievements to be proud of !
Sure, there are many problems we are reeling under. The pandemic hit us harder than rest of the world due to overall poverty percentage and small scale businesses almost collapsed. A huge chunk of small vendors were on road due to lack of livelihood. The economy is feeling the heat with consecutive negative GDP growth for couple of quarters with fears of recession.
But is everything that dark? Surely Not. We can definitely say, monsoons are on track this year, slowly businesses getting back on track. And with population of 1.3 billion, nobody can rule out India's consumption story, which can pull back the economy.
So all in all we can never pay back in real terms to our freedom fighters who have given us the precious gift in 1947. But then, what can we do to improve the state of our mother land? Pay taxes on time, Be honest in all transactions, purchase products from local vendors, follow the government guidelines for recovering from Pandemic, Get vaccinated on time, Do your bit in many such ways! And with huge young population, we can definitely reach to a better and a prosperous India for coming generations.
And lastly, the cliché - "Maana ki andhera ghana hai, par diya jalana kaha mana hai" :)
Jay Hind!
Excellent Sarang!!! keep it up.
ReplyDeleteOn the eve of INDIA @ 75, we must retrospect what we have achieved and missed to achieve in last 75 years. We should make a plan and work towards achieving those unachieved and new goals, so when we reach INDIA @ 100, it will surely make us and coming generation proud.
Thanks a lot!
